The Elyos Branch Disbands
written by Fluxx
The short road has ended, our Elyos branch is no more. We decided that Aion was not a game for us, which was mostly a decision driven by the opinions of the majority of the members who were present in these past days. For my personal opinion I refer you to this thread.
Friday the 20th at 20:00 GMT we will divide the guildbank to everyone who is online. For everyone who stays in Aion, we wish you all good luck and much pleasure in the game, and there is no hard feelings if you decide to seek your pleasure elsewhere. We will expect everyone back when a solid MMORPG finally launches.
For the rest of the people, we have set up a new "branch" called Open Games, where you can relax with other TBH members in a non-MMORPG environment.
We will be back.

TBH:EQ2 Embarks On It's Sixth Year
written by Andarielle
Five years ago to the day, TBH:EQ2 was born in the magnificent city of Freeport. At the end of our first four years I spoke with a air of anticipation about the upcoming expantion, The Shadow Odyssey and it did not disappoint.
As our loyal members eagerly set about completing all the new quests and instances, our raiding continued with renewed optimism. First to be dispatched was the Leviathan in The Chamber of Destiny. This barrier had stood before us for far too long but on the 5th January 2009 we smashed it aside and assulted the very gates of Veeshan's Peak, thoroughly obliterating it's guardian Kluzen the Protector along the way.

With Veeshan's Peak open it wasn't long before our raidforce started it's assault on Druushk and we received our first mythical weapons with his demise on the 2nd February to euphoric applause over Ventrilo.

We carried this moment through to the next raid whereby we destroyed the first two named in Tomb of the Mad Crusader on 4th February and then the first named in Palace of the Ancient One on 11th February. The Shadow Odyssey was now a raiding Odyssey for TBH.

Finally, after a long, hard toil against the 10 mobs of Veeshan's Peak, we finally killed the zone boss on 25th March and completed our mythical weapon weidling raidforce. All our mythical achievements have since been locked in events for posterity. Naturally, we couldn't let Venril Sathir survive so we retunred to his lair on 18th February to deliver some payback.

In April, our raiding continued. Thet-em-aua was dispatched on 13th April and Ward of Elements was cleared for the first time by a TBH raidforce on 16th April, netting us another trophy for a Guild Hall.

Then, in May, the last of the easier TSO raid mobs were taken down. The Strange Stalker in Ykesha's Inner Stronghold was finally destroyed on 13th May. Over the next few months we consolidated our position, maiking sure we had the majority of our raider's mythical weapons and started to farm the TSO set equipment. We even had time for a spot of fun.

Over the coming months we did not relent; 12th August saw TBH defeat the second named in Ykesha's Inner Stronghold, while the 29th September saw us defeat the first named in Munzok's Material Bastion.

For the previous month we have been looking to the future and working very hard on farming of zones and starting progression elsewhere, which has been coming on steadily. This will give us the platform to build on for our sixth year.
TBH will continue to raid and raid strong over the winter period and will strengthen itself considerably for February 2010, for that is when the next expantion The Sentinel's Fate will go live. In the meantime there is a Guild Meeting scheduled in game for this Sunday at 1900 UTC; if you are online, or plan on being online, you are expected to attend this. Here, the Core will lay out their plans for our sixth year and we hope to have your input on this. Naturally a raid will commence after so don't forget to sign up for that too.

Looking to the Future
written by Andarielle
When TSO went live the Core set out a list of goals for the guild to achieve. Our short term goals were met by the following Frostfell while the long term goals were achieved by most just a few months later. Naturally we have since continued to progress in the TSO zones and have killed many more mobs this expantion then we have in any expantion prior to this.
Now, with The Sentinel's Fate due to be released in February next year, we have put together the remaining goals for this expantion.
Goals
* For all raiding mains to have at least three T4 armour pieces
* For all raiding mains to have a greater understanding of their class in a raid encounter
* For all raiding mains to improve their understanding of any raid encounter and to have beaten the Palace of Ferzul instance.
* To be in a position of strength when The Sentinel's Fate goes live
These will be achieved in the following way:
Goal One will see the focus on our Farming raids continue so that everyone is suitably geared up before we push on to the next "tier" mob. In other words progression will not be rushed. We will also spend more time in Miragul's Planar Shard, Munzok's Material Bastion and will also finish off the only RoK mobs still to evade our forces: The Maestro of Racnor, Byzola and Trakannon.
Goal Two will see more rotation used on our Farm raids. In other words, all our tanks will get the chance to tank each of the encounters and all our healers will get the chance to heal in the MT group. However this goal needs you, the member's, participation. Get talking to your assigned Archetype Class Leaders on how you can do better and should they contact you with suggestions for improvement, heed their advice. Also, the TBH Tracking Sheet needs constant updating for it to be of use for the Core's planning of raids so please keep it up to date. Finally, keep working on your personal DPS and trying to beat the high score. The encounters to come need you to be able to DPS.
Goal Three is entirely down to you, the members. The Support Threads that are stickied in the Raid Discussion forum need every little tidbit of knowledge gained from the encounters to be of use. Please continue to read, understand and use them. Also, we need more people with ACT as there are times when the Core are unable to utilise it and we need more people who can call the AEs and the Detrimentals. As for Palace of Frezul, this is currently the hardest instance available and all raiders should be able to complete and understand it. If you can focus for that final fight against Varsoon then you are already a better player and it will help your focus on the longer raid encounters.
Goal Four is the ultimate goal. The next expantion will see the level cap rise and we need to be able to grasp it with both hands. As a guild, we need to be in a strong enough position to compete once more on what will be a level playing field and to avoid playing catch up at the very begining. We have fought hard to be in this position, so don't let us squander it now. With winter setting in, now is the time to cement out place amongst the Runnyeye elite and to take the coming expantion by storm.
This can only be achieved by continual raiding support. Remember, we need you!
