The Elyos Branch Disbands
written by Fluxx
The short road has ended, our Elyos branch is no more. We decided that Aion was not a game for us, which was mostly a decision driven by the opinions of the majority of the members who were present in these past days. For my personal opinion I refer you to this thread.
Friday the 20th at 20:00 GMT we will divide the guildbank to everyone who is online. For everyone who stays in Aion, we wish you all good luck and much pleasure in the game, and there is no hard feelings if you decide to seek your pleasure elsewhere. We will expect everyone back when a solid MMORPG finally launches.
For the rest of the people, we have set up a new "branch" called Open Games, where you can relax with other TBH members in a non-MMORPG environment.
We will be back.

Masto The Ancient Down
written by Dementia
The BlackHand keeps going strong with another world boss added to our trophy list: Masto the Ancient.
Yesterday afternoon, with the most welcomed help from our friends of Chaos Angels, the big bad beast fell down in the Mamut Graveyard of Beluslan. A very hectic fight perfectly handled by all, with minimum casualties, at least in our ranks ^^
Our thirst from blood not exactly satiated, we decided to fly to Morheim and pay our weekly visit to King Consierd. A few minutes later, amongst dozens of dead little birdies, the King paid what is soon to become his weekly tribute to the BlackHand.

Good job to everyone for the kill, and big congrats to Miyasu and Kivi for winning the loot!
Who will be the next so-called "Hero" boss to fall to our blades?

TBH:EQ2 Embarks On It's Sixth Year
written by Andarielle
Five years ago to the day, TBH:EQ2 was born in the magnificent city of Freeport. At the end of our first four years I spoke with a air of anticipation about the upcoming expantion, The Shadow Odyssey and it did not disappoint.
As our loyal members eagerly set about completing all the new quests and instances, our raiding continued with renewed optimism. First to be dispatched was the Leviathan in The Chamber of Destiny. This barrier had stood before us for far too long but on the 5th January 2009 we smashed it aside and assulted the very gates of Veeshan's Peak, thoroughly obliterating it's guardian Kluzen the Protector along the way.

With Veeshan's Peak open it wasn't long before our raidforce started it's assault on Druushk and we received our first mythical weapons with his demise on the 2nd February to euphoric applause over Ventrilo.

We carried this moment through to the next raid whereby we destroyed the first two named in Tomb of the Mad Crusader on 4th February and then the first named in Palace of the Ancient One on 11th February. The Shadow Odyssey was now a raiding Odyssey for TBH.

Finally, after a long, hard toil against the 10 mobs of Veeshan's Peak, we finally killed the zone boss on 25th March and completed our mythical weapon weidling raidforce. All our mythical achievements have since been locked in events for posterity. Naturally, we couldn't let Venril Sathir survive so we retunred to his lair on 18th February to deliver some payback.

In April, our raiding continued. Thet-em-aua was dispatched on 13th April and Ward of Elements was cleared for the first time by a TBH raidforce on 16th April, netting us another trophy for a Guild Hall.

Then, in May, the last of the easier TSO raid mobs were taken down. The Strange Stalker in Ykesha's Inner Stronghold was finally destroyed on 13th May. Over the next few months we consolidated our position, maiking sure we had the majority of our raider's mythical weapons and started to farm the TSO set equipment. We even had time for a spot of fun.

Over the coming months we did not relent; 12th August saw TBH defeat the second named in Ykesha's Inner Stronghold, while the 29th September saw us defeat the first named in Munzok's Material Bastion.

For the previous month we have been looking to the future and working very hard on farming of zones and starting progression elsewhere, which has been coming on steadily. This will give us the platform to build on for our sixth year.
TBH will continue to raid and raid strong over the winter period and will strengthen itself considerably for February 2010, for that is when the next expantion The Sentinel's Fate will go live. In the meantime there is a Guild Meeting scheduled in game for this Sunday at 1900 UTC; if you are online, or plan on being online, you are expected to attend this. Here, the Core will lay out their plans for our sixth year and we hope to have your input on this. Naturally a raid will commence after so don't forget to sign up for that too.

Capital Ship Production
written by Mirxa
In EVE branch we've always been proud of our ability to make PvP ships for our pilots cheaply. With access to certain battleship blueprints and the ability to carry out invention at our high security space laboratories, we've been able to manufacture a range of ships internally for some time.
Today a new type of ship rolled off the production line. I'm proud to announce that the first TBH EVE built capital ship has been completed and delivered to its new owner. Overall production came in at less than the cost of a market buy and the ship was delivered directly to our area of operations in the Y-MPWL solar system. Our new cap building service will be available primarily to our own pilots, but additionally to members of our alliance. This give us more political clout within the alliance.

The first TBH built capital: The Revelation class dreadnaught Deus Ex Machina in dock at Epitoth Labs in Y-MPWL. A Nidhoggur class carrier is already in production for another alliance member.

The BlackHand reaches 1 Million contribution points
written by Dementia
Yesterday night, an army of the BlackHand led by Brandon, Kataq, and Teyo flew off Primum Landing looking for blood to spill. All over the Abyss, Elyos were slain, Artifacts captured, and as temporary allies joined our fight the enemy was pushed back all the way to Terminon Landing.
After an exhausting, epic battle and a brief visit to the deserted upper Abyss, our leaders decided to end the fight for the night. But for some, that wasn't enough. The milestone had to be reached.
Amathrierith, Dementia, Lisko, Motherchristmas, Syd, and Zangan flew back to Sulfur island, slowly falling back into the hands of the Elyos. To our surprise the Balaur were here too, and another epic battle for the control of the island begin. As victory was attained, two artifacts were captured in the name of the BlackHand... And the coveted Million, finally ours.

Congratulations to the whole Legion for reaching our first Million, truly an awesome collective effort. Here's to many more to come!
