EVE: Inferno Deploys May 24th
written by Khejan

Since the latest patch, Escalation to Inferno a lot of changes have been made ready for the next expansion, which is due to arrive in 14 days time. For a taste of what to expect, players can have a look on the Eve Test Server: Singularity. Information on how to set this up can be found here: -

http://tbh.org.uit.no/?c=forum_post&s=75&t=11603#last

The current list of changes coming in are listed in this post on the Eve Online forums which is here: -

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=103955

I would like to point out that this is NOT the full list of changes coming into Inferno, this is just a small part of what to expect in CCP's next upcoming expansion, which is set to take Eve back to it's roots of being focused on Internet Spaceships. Because as we all know, Internet Spaceships IS SERIOUS BUSINESS! =P

Also, the following changes have taken place with regards to the Corporation's hierarchy of late. These changes have been made by myself as I see the people I have put in these positions to be best suited to perform the jobs asked of them, as well as to help take the corporation forward. Those changes are as follows: -

CEO - Kheja Okaski (Khejan)
US Director - Veltan Anstian
EU Director - Legiolith
PVP Director's - Mirxa, Kerie Thomas

Missing from the list is our Industrial Director, this is due to the fact that our man in training still needs more experience before bearing the mantle of leadership.

We are now pushing mid-week PVP roams which will be led by Mirxa, as well as our Sunday Roams. Of late however turnout has been somewhat small over the last 2 weeks, and I really would like to see this change once the summer crunch calms down. For those who haven't roamed before, I am just asking that if you have an hour or two free in the week and you want to explore the PVP side of things, then please feel free and login and have a crack at it. The worst that can happen is that you will lose your ship, which the corp will reimburse.

I look forward to seeing you all in New Eden, fly safe!

EVE Online: 9 Years Old, Still Going Strong
written by Khejan

May 6th see's CCP's EVE Online turn 9 years old. As a result of that, they are going to give out some gift's which each and every pilot will be able to claim up until June 4th, at which point all pilots who didn't redeem items before that time, will be given "Plug and Play - Full set of +2 Attribute Implants (Limited Ocular Filter Beta, Limited Neural Boost Beta...etc...)". For more information regarding this giveaway refer to this link which details what can be claimed: -

Having said that, we saw the first step towards the next expansion launch on 24th April: Escalation to Inferno. The most noteable changes in the patch where that of the changes to the drone regions of space, in such that they now longer drop "Alloys" when they are killed, they now have a set bounty. What this now means is that mining is now done solely by miner's and not by those of us who like to be care-bears and just go around blowing up NPC's. This change is also going to have an impact on the market, as mineral prices are likely to increase over time.

For those of you in our corporation, who like to mine, or for those who are considering what career path to choose if you've not yet joined us, then I would say take a stab at mining. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's a nice easy way to make some ISK without the stress of losing ships (like Azazzel and I have done with our Drakes =P).

As of 27th April, Goonswarm descended upon New Eden's most prominent trade hub, Jita and started to cause tears to flow from those of us who live out in Hi-Sec at present. This attack had been in the pipeline from around January, long before The Mittani's ban due to his drunken stupidity in naming a player at the Alliance Presentation during this years Fanfest. Freighter's, Mining Barges, and other ships transporting valuable cargo have been destroyed over the past few days. One of the most noteable losses was that of a pilot who for some unknown reason decided they would transport 6x Plex (Pilot Licence Extension/Game Time), at which point the ships cargo was scanned, blown up and bizarrely enough, the PLEX's where not destroyed, so someone out there managed to possibly get themselves 6 months of game time courtesy of the ongoing madness.

Intel currently suggests that Jita and other trading hubs have returned back to normal. The current total of destruction inflicted in terms of ISK value is: 518.47 Billion Isk. While intel show's that normal service has resumed, I would strongly advise that all pilots going to either Amarr or Jita use the utmost care when doing so, and try to avoid transporting anything that you cannot afford to lose.

I look forward to seeing more of the community trying their hand's at Eve Online, and joining us in New Eden where you are all most welcome, and will receive as much help as that can be provided, in term's of skill plans, ship fittings, and making money.

See you all soon!

To Boldly Go
written by Iendyil

TBH has now established itself in EVE for over 2 weeks and it seems now would be the most appropriate time to introduce myself as the Branch Leader (CEO).

Many of you may have known me from my previous roles within TBH in AoC, WoW, Rift, Darkfall and WAR but those who talk to me will know my first game has always been EVE. Now, why is this important I hear you say?

EVE has always been a game TBH has aspired to play and until now has never been wholly possible in the way we have wanted it to be. I hope that with my experience as well as our Director, Khejan, who many of you may know, we can continue to develop our new EVE branch into the strongest branch TBH has ever had.

Our current members have been hard at work setting up a base of operations to welcome our new members in and I'm proud to say that we have successfully laid down the foundations in preparation for TBH:EVE's growth.

Many people will tell you wrongly that you can't join EVE now, because people have been playing the game so long that you don't have a chance. This is simply not true. Yes, other players may have more skills than you, however there is only so many skills you need for any one ship, when you have those skills, you are using that ship just as well as someone who has been playing for 10 years. We can also set you up with skill plans to get you flying the ships YOU want to fly as quickly as possible.

Things you will get if you come to TBH:EVE now:

1. A knowledgeable and competent community that will give you the best possible start to the game.

2. Assistance in getting the standings required to make money on your own.

3. A strong friendly community that will take you with us as we achieve inevitable greatness!

So enough with the past and present, what about the future? Do we have a plan ?

Yes!

In April, we will see the precursor to the next expansion, Inferno. Stated during Fanfest, the April "Pre-patch" will be content based, at which point when May arrives, everyone will be ready for what is launched in Inferno. What can we expect from the expansion? As outlined again during Fanfest, we should start to see a focus on ship balancing and overall optimisations to the engine.

With this on the horizon we will be working to develop our corporations infrastructure into a money making machine to enable all of our PvP, PvE and industrial pilots to have a useful community to contribute to and draw from for the benefit of the group. This will include working towards incursion roams and setting up our industrial characters with infrastructure they can use.

Know one in TBH:EVE will be forced into a particular role, in fact I welcome all play styles with open arms, as all will be needed as we grow.

Towards the end of this year CCP will be releasing DUST:514; an AAA MMOFPS, free to play on PS3. This game will link directly into EVE; money, items, corporations and alliances will be shared and EVE players will be able to pay the Dust Players to fight for them as well as assist them in battles!

If even this hasn't peaked your interest, watch this;

Here is how to join:

TBH Community members: Jump on TS3 or send me a message on the forums and we'll get you setup with a trial account. If you have an account already, get into the TBH Recruitment channel in game and log on TS3 and we'll get you set up.

Non-TBH applicants: Create an account and apply using the application form on the left and join the TBH Recruitment channel in game to have a chat. Note, TS3 is a requirement to join TBH.

So in finishing I'd like to refer to Azazzel when he said, "This is The Next Generation", because it truly is. And I'd like you all to boldly go with us and play the best MMO there has ever been.

The Next Generation
written by Azazzel
So, if you haven't already seen it, CCP just showed a live demo of a ship in EVE manually planting an orbital bombardment onto the playfield of a battleground in Dust514, ALL IN REAL TIME. Essentially, the ground team had to hack the shields around the facility, relay a bypass code to the orbiting ship, the ship relays the code back to the ground team of their choice (remember there will be MULTIPLE battles going on at the same time on each planet), where they will pinpoint the tactical strike to provide essential suppressive support for their side.

The defending teams can also fire into the atmosphere with sophisticated weaponry to remove this threat, so... watch out if you are flying near a planet ^^.

In short, this will do for online games, what the Unreal Engine did for graphics in the 90's. If any other developers watched this live stream, they'll be getting a much needed wake the fuck up call and realise that cloning World of Warcraft for the 7th year straight just won't cut the mustard anymore.

This means that as a Community Manager, our small EVE Project will now officially become a sponsored game of our community once more. I won't roll out the goals or charter as that is a position I have given to Iendyil and it'll be his honour to do so.

This is what you can expect. Shown at today's (this years fanfest). Enjoy.

See you in New Eden.

All Groups Clear Hardmode Content - Bring on 1.2
written by Lamoav
Today the casual group finally bested Soa Hardmode after weeks of battling with various bugs and game mechanic fails. It was fantastic to finally see our hard work paying off and we can now concentrate on farming loot ready for 1.2. We will also test our skills against Nightmare mode content in the weeks leading up to the content patch. Thank you to everyone involved in the kill - we can all now breathe a sigh of relief.

As a special notice, this weeks raid has been moved from our usual day of Wednesday to Tuesday. This will be for this week only and our normal raid schedule will resume next week.
